A University of Oxford Geography graduate with a 2.1 Honours and 5+ years tutoring experience. I tutor Geography across all years: primary, secondary and University Admissions, covering: GCSEs, A-Levels, Personal Statement writing & editing, Interview Skills and Oxbridge admissions.

I teach Geography across multiple exam boards including Edexcel, OCR and AQA.

I am an experienced headteacher who has led three successful schools in a number of different settings across Hertfordshire and London over the past twelve years. My leadership and teaching style is one of collaboration, challenge and support which has brought results in every school that I have led and recognised at local and national level. I place great importance on developing effective systems that build trust, openness and opportunity. I lead with integrity and humility which is balanced with ambition and success. I am also a keen and distant student of the works of CG Jung and enjoy the pursuit of reading widely and extensively for both professional and personal pleasure. As a keen sportsman I enjoy regular cycling, walking and cold-water swimming. These pursuits help me to remain in a state of fitness that translates into my professional life.

I’m a Qualified Secondary Mathematics teacher with experience teaching both in the UK and internationally, so I’m confident supporting students across a range of curricula including GCSE, IGCSE and IB.

Alongside classroom teaching, I’ve worked as a tutor, delivering personalised 1:1 and small group sessions. I really enjoy helping students build confidence in maths, especially those who may feel anxious or unsure about the subject. I focus on breaking down concepts in a clear, structured way and adapting my approach to suit each student’s learning style.

After graduating from Exeter University I worked in finance and marketing before completing a PGCE in MFL. I am also an avid musician/songwriter, tennis and padel player, and a serious beach lover!

With three children of my own a holistic education is very important to me, meaning that although the academic side is important, life education is equally so. As a former Form Tutor and Personal Tutor I pride myself on working closely with students to guide them in the right direction and be a listening ear in a time of need.

I’m a 43 year old mum, to a boy, who is in Year 8. I love travelling, I’ve been to 5 continents! I also love music, going to festivals and concerts. I am passionate about personalised learning and making children feel great about themselves, by giving them strategies and advice in order to thrive.

I am an experienced teacher with a wealth of expertise supporting and nurturing young people. With over 8 years of teaching experience, specialising in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, I am passionate about helping students build confidence in the subject while feeling supported as they develop a deeper understanding of the subject.

Alongside my teaching, I have also been part of the pastoral team in a boarding house, where I worked as an Assistant Housemistress. This role gave me valuable experience supporting young people not only academically, but also personally, helping them navigate the many challenges that school and modern life can present.

As a parent of four children, I understand first-hand the pressures that today’s society can place on young people and their families. This allows me to empathise with students and appreciate the many aspects of their lives that can affect both their learning and wellbeing.

I strongly believe that every child is unique, and that education is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I take the time to understand each student’s individual needs and learning style, tailoring my teaching to suit them. My aim is to create a calm, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, growing in confidence, and reaching their full potential.

I gained qualified teacher status in 1995 with a PGCE from Manchester University after studying my degree in Education and History at Oxford Brookes University. I gained my first teaching post immediately and have taught in a variety of primary and middle schools throughout North West England. I have taught in all year groups from Early Years to Year 8. In 2008 I decided to also become a private tutor, in addition to working in schools, and now have many years experience in that role. My approach to private tuition is to provide a safe learning environment that appeals to tutees of all ages. As a mum of two grown up children, I appreciate how important this is. I absolutely love getting to know my tutees and their families and understand the concerns that parents feel when engaging a private tutor. I am a highly experienced teacher with over 21 years in education, working with students from Reception through to Year 12. My specialism is in Key Stage 2, with a strong focus on Maths, English, and 11+ preparation.

I also have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, including ADHD and ASD, as well as those who may find traditional classroom settings challenging. I provide a calm, structured, and supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.
