DBS Cleared Qualified Teacher Pastoral
from £55/session

I am a highly experienced teacher with over 21 years in education, working with students from Reception through to Year 12. My specialism is in Key Stage 2, with a strong focus on Maths, English, and 11+ preparation.

I have a proven track record of helping children build secure foundations and develop the skills and confidence they need to progress successfully through school and beyond. Whether your child needs support catching up, stretching further, or preparing for entrance exams, I tailor each session to their individual needs and learning style.

I am passionate about making learning engaging, accessible, and enjoyable. I believe that confidence is at the heart of success, particularly in Maths and English, and I work closely with each child to help them feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress.

I also have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, including ADHD and ASD, as well as those who may find traditional classroom settings challenging. I provide a calm, structured, and supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

My aim is not only to improve academic outcomes, but to help every child develop a positive relationship with learning that will stay with them long term.

Teaching Experience

I have worked across a range of school settings and, in recent years, have focused on supporting children with additional needs within mainstream education, as well as those who find attending school challenging or require a more personalised approach to learning.

I have worked as a specialist Maths teacher, supporting both students and colleagues in developing effective teaching strategies and building strong mathematical understanding. I have also held leadership roles in a number of schools, giving me a broad perspective on supporting learners at different stages of their education.

Through my tutoring, I focus on identifying and addressing gaps in understanding, helping students to build strong foundations and develop the confidence needed to progress towards GCSE level. I adapt my teaching to suit each individual, using flexible and creative approaches to ensure every student can succeed.
