Fiona Lewis
I'm an experienced and dedicated teacher, passionate about English and Maths and I love those moments when it all makes sense! I've taught in prep schools for over 25 years and have a comprehensive understanding of the 11+ process in particular - I've prepared hundreds of students for successful senior school entry in English and Maths, and have previously written and marked English entrance papers myself. I love reading and usually have too many books on the go. I'm also a musician and hill-walker, getting up to the mountains when I can! I have 2 children and 2 cats.
Teaching Experience
I've been teaching for over 25 years, mostly in prep schools where I've focused on English and Maths teaching for Years 5 and 6, and English up to Year 8 or 9. I have been an Assistant Houseparent in 2 boarding schools, and more recently, a prep-school Head of Assessment. My last 8 years have been as a Head of English, responsible for curriculum development and 11+ preparation, where I focus on helping my pupils feel confident and able to handle the pressure of the exam day. I believe learning should be fun!
